Satya
Rai was born out of the rich textures, lush
fabrics and vibrant hues of my Indian heritage. It’s a reflection of
me, and my belief that fashion should allow your inner voice to be
heard…and seen.
Satya Rai is the natural evolution of what began as Sir Alistair Rai in
2006. I wanted to create not only fashion…I wanted to create an
experience. Who hasn’t walked down a city street, anywhere in the
world, and seen someone who just embodies “style”? That’s the
inspiration for Satya Rai: clothing that is authentic to the spirit of
the person who wears it.
I wanted to allow a way to travel to the far corners of the world, just
by getting dressed. What’s more intoxicating than having a love affair
with the whole world, and all that it has to offer? For me, fashion can
be a departure. It can evoke a memory, or longing to go to a place
